Unsolicited emails will not result in sales. Stop sending me spam!

I have been receiving loads of spam from this company. I previously asked to removed from their list and after over a month I am still receiving spam. -- If I receive an email from you because you bought my email address from them, I will be reporting your email as spam, every time! -- This means you will look less reputable and will be more likely to be sent to peoples spam folders by email filters. Do not buy from this company, they are scummy and they lie to clients and to people who supposedly signed up to receive emails. WE DO NOT WANT YOUR EMAILS, WE DID NOT SIGN UP FOR THEM. THEY ARE LYING TO YOU. **EDIT: The response from BackersInfo is misleading as well as an outright lie. They do not handle email campaigns on behalf of clients as I have never received an email directly from them and had to ask campaigns how they got my information. I unsubscribed from every email I got but keep getting them because they are literally selling my personal information for profit to c

Hello Zach, We would like to extend to you our most sincere apologies regarding the recent spam issues. We take privacy seriously. We never sell backer's information for profit! We run email campaigns from our side and apart from that, we also offer additional services like social media marketing, PR, media campaign, etc., You can check out our pricing page, https://www.backersinfo.org/pricing and we don’t sell any backers information. I understand you already unsubscribed from our mailing list and as a result, we erased your information from our CRM software system. For every project that we work with, we handle email campaigns on behalf of project creators and we provide sample super backers list to project creators for their understanding purpose. Unfortunately, one of the project creators sent out emails without our consent and this does not happen most of the time. We’re normally known for our exceptional attention to detail, and we regret that we missed the mark. Your comments have been discussed at length with the responsible data protection officer to prevent this from happening again and ensure the company maintains its high email campaign standards. Given the impact that this can have, we have adapted our documentation and we will make sure to communicate this very clearly to our employees and future customers. Here’s the process we follow, Firstly, we don’t send emails to just anyone. We target backers very carefully and we have got a list of interested backers who back Kickstarter and Indiegogo projects based on our valuable suggestions. Secondly, in each of our email messages, we clearly include unsubscribing links on how to remove their data from our mailing list or change them. Once somebody opts out, we respect their wish, erase personal data, and never contact them again. In your case, we erased your information completely, but later we identified the sample backers list issue which we rectified now. As an additional step, we will designate a DPO team to oversee data security strategy and compliance. We will also make sure the data used in future campaigns are being processed according to the global compliance rules like GDPR. For backers information, we work with lead generation companies and they claim that they asked your permission at the very beginning. We’re in process of finding out which lead generation company provided your data and we’ll stop working with them with immediate effect. We’ll make sure that this doesn’t happen again in the future. We apologies for the inconvenience once again. Sincerely, Chris Roth Senior Support Manager.
